ALIS Release 5.8

5.8 Release Information

ALIS 5.8 arrives on Monday, July 27th, 2020 at 12a CST.

This release will result in downtime lasting between 30 and 60 minutes, taking place overnight on Monday 7/27 at approximately 12am CST.

Please plan for this downtime and inform your staff. If you have any questions on how to handle this downtime, please contact the Support Team at support@medtelligent.com or your account representative.

Reminder! We recommend using Google Chrome for ALIS. This is especially important for the newer features. Other browsers will not work as well.

On Leave Meds Packaging and the Drug Count

-Medications packed for resident leave will now impact the Drug Count quantities.
-When you mark the resident back on premise, you are given the opportunity to document the quantities returned for orders active on the Drug Count.

Nurse-Only Medications

-Turn on ‘Nurse Only’ setting for any order on the eMAR and restrict documentation of these orders to Nurses.
-Added ability for Med Techs to check vitals, and then enable only Nurses to document the medication administration.
-Also: Third Party Administration Service Level!

Advanced Security: Lockdown ALIS by IP Address!

-Restrict logins by IP address for select staff in order to limit who can access ALIS outside of your community.

More Improvements

-The latest version of ALIS Prospects will now be live for everyone! Click here to review the details of the new look and navigation.
-New Med Change Report can be emailed to specified pharmacy staff about internal changes made to the ALIS eMAR. Please contact us if you would like us to set up the email for your pharmacy’s team!

-Add new custom tags to medications in addition to ‘Narcotic’, ‘Do Not Crush’, etc.
