ALIS Release 5.7

5.7 Release Information

Recent Outage and Offline MAR Accessibility

As some of you experienced, the ALIS servers were affected by a worldwide IBM SoftLayer outage. This resulted in some unexpected evening downtime and slowness.

We have developed a tool to help should this occur in the future. Community MARs can now be set up to automatically download to a computer in the building. This will help if paper MAR documents are ever needed, and especially if there is ALIS downtime or an internet outage.

Please contact ALIS Support to install this on a device at your building!

ALIS 5.7 arrives on Monday, June 15th, 2020 at 12 AM CST.

This release will result in downtime lasting between 30 and 60 minutes, taking place overnight on Monday 6/15 at approximately 12 AM CST.

Please plan for this downtime and inform your staff. If you have any questions on how to handle this downtime, please contact the Support Team at support@medtelligent.com or your account representative.

Reminder! We recommend using Google Chrome for ALIS. This is especially important for the newer features. Other browsers will not work as well.

Bulk Add Observations

-Observation Notes can now be made in bulk for multiple residents!
-These display as one row with all the associated resident names for easier readability in the Observation Center.

MAR Updates

-We have made the MAR more black-and-white printer-friendly.
-Icons appear in any boxes that do not include staff initials, and discontinued orders are now more clearly indicated.

2-Factor Login Authentication

-Over the next couple of months, we are adding a series of advanced security features.
-Our first item is the ability to require staff logins to use a secondary factor after their username and password or swipe card. This setting will allow us to require a code sent to the staff member in an email, SMS text message, or the Google or Microsoft Authenticator applications.

Additional Improvements

-We can now choose to display the full resident SSN on Facesheets! This is enabled in Community Settings.
-If you are using the latest version of ALIS Prospects, Referral Organizations Settings are now easier to access within Prospects. Here we can manage and export all of our Referral Sources.

Coming Soon:

Create custom medication tags for your eMAR!

A new Care Item setting will allow us to see previously recorded outcomes at a glance! This is ideal for BM Tracking or Meal and Hydration Tracking.
