ALIS Billing Updates

ALIS 4.0.0 arrives on Monday! Going Live on October 8, 2018 at 12am CST.

Notice of ALIS Downtime – Please share with community staff

This release may result in ALIS slowness or downtime lasting between 30 and 60 minutes. Infrastructure Updated

We are committed to creating the best in breed product within Assisted Living. This update is the first in a set of targeted feature updates that will take ALIS Billing to the next level including the following:

1. Our database was restructured for more efficiency. You’ll see an increase in speed on all billing related pages and reports including the Aging Reports specifically.

2. Track individual credits and debits through a new GL Transactions page that will track individual objects for any transactions that occurred with it.

More Robust Billing Settings

We changed the format on the Billing Settings page to be clearer and more streamlined. Each section will be segmented out into its own tab across the top.

Setup more accounts

–Revenue – Your charge list/Billing Items is now listed under a designated Revenue section.

–AR – We have always supported an AR account, but now we’ve added in support for an Unbilled AR account.

–Cash – We’ve added in support for a true Prepayments account! We’ve also added in support for an Undeposited Funds account that will tie into our deposits support listed below.

–Discounts – Set a default account for those pesky invoice discounts that always come out ungrouped.

–Payables – We’ve added in some support for tracking a payables transaction when a refund occurs. Note, we have not added in full payables support.

Deposits

-The Bulk Payments page has been renamed to the Payment Center. As we continue to update the functionality on this page, there will be more you can do!

-Bulk payments will now have the option to be deposited or not. Any undeposited bulk payments will go to a Undeposited Payments tab.

-Any deposited bulk payments will go to to the Deposits tab.

-Deposits will now be editable. If you added an extra payment to a deposit, it can be removed. If you missed a payment the deposit can be easily redone to update it.

Account Balances

-With our support for all these new accounts, we created the Account Balances Report. This report will be very useful for checking and pulling all those different balances.

-This Report has a summary view and a report view.

-The summary view will give you a high level of the net changes to an account over the selected date range.

-The Report will give you the option to drill down on the specific transactions that affected that account or set of accounts.
